Zoo membership: best investment ever!
There are so many unhappy people at the zoo. So many super stressed out parents, rushing children from one exhibit to the next in an effort to see the whole huge place in one day. And I get it… if you spend upwards of $100 (which it could easily cost to bring an entire family to the zoo for the whole day) you better get to see the whole thing! But when you can come whenever you want it releases you from the desire to get through the entire place in one day. If they kids want to sit and watch the giraffes for two hours we can sit and watch the giraffes for two hours, no problem. It makes it a much more fun place.
The Squirrel loves telling us what all the animals are saying. Most animals say different (and surprisingly varied) things according to her, but every time we’re there the otters are “just asking questions… just asking lots and lots of questions.” Apparently otters are very inquisitive creatures.
Otters are, incidentally, my favorite. I’m pretty sure the pacu are The Squirrel’s favorite (that’s what they’re looking at in the top picture). The Sexy Irish Man loves the monkeys, and The Baby Pterodactyl I’m not sure about yet.
